These terms govern your use of project-lucy.me (the "Site") and describe the rights held in Lucy and the Project Lucy system (together, the "Work"). By using the Site you accept these terms.

1. Who operates this

The Site and the Work are owned and operated by Bhaveek Agrawal. Contact is available through the channels linked at the foot of the Site.

2. Ownership of the Work

The Work is original creative and technical output protected by copyright. All rights are retained in full. Nothing on the Site transfers, licenses or exhausts any of those rights.

The protected Work includes, without limitation:

The character Lucy — her name, personality, voice, visual design, avatar, and all associated artwork;
All source code, architecture, system design, prompts, configuration and documentation;
All model weights, fine-tunes, adapters, training corpora and derived artefacts;
All written, audio, video and image content produced by or depicting Lucy;
The text, layout, design and compiled presentation of this Site;
The names and branding "Lucy", "L.U.C.Y", "Project Lucy" and "project-lucy.me".

3. What you may do

You may view the Site and quote short extracts for news reporting, review, criticism, commentary or research, with clear attribution to Project Lucy and a link to this Site.

4. What you may not do

Except with prior written permission, you may not:

Copy, reproduce, republish or distribute the Work or any substantial part of it;
Create derivative works, adaptations, ports, forks or reimplementations of Lucy;
Use the character Lucy in any product, service, model, dataset, publication or promotion;
Train, fine-tune or condition any machine-learning model on the Work or content produced by Lucy;
Use the Work as a trade mark, brand, product name, account name or persona;
Represent or imply affiliation with Lucy or Project Lucy when none exists;
Reverse engineer or attempt to derive the design or training of the Work;
Circumvent, disable or test the security of the Site, or access it by automated means that burdens it.

5. Text and data mining

We expressly reserve all rights in respect of text and data mining, and do not permit use of the Work for developing, training, validating or benchmarking AI or machine-learning systems.

6. Disclaimer

Lucy is an evolving research system. She can be mistaken or out of date. The Site and the Work are provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. Nothing she says constitutes professional legal, financial, or medical advice.

7. Support contributions

Any voluntary financial support is a gift toward running costs. It purchases no goods, service, licence, ownership interest, or priority, and is not refundable except where required by law.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India shall have exclusive jurisdiction.

9. Changes

These terms may be updated. The date at the top shows when they last changed.
